The rain stopped this morning about 10 a.m. The husband and I got to work right after I got home from church.
In our yard, the previous owner left a few 3 ft fence posts sticking out of the ground. No fencing attached, just the posts. With the ground softened nicely from the rain, we got out there and started digging. They've all been removed now.
They also left a random piece of plywood in the dirt. It had been there so long, grass had grown roots through it into the ground. I took advantage of the soft dirt and wood to pull it up.
We also hammered in some small netting posts as a perimeter for the chicken area. I hung plastic chicken wire from it. I hope this will keep the dog out of the chicken area so that I can let her out in the yard unsupervised again. Winter is coming, and I have NO desire to stand outside with the dog when it's raining and 35 degrees!
It started raining again, so I'll post pictures later.
