Remember Those Bushes We Were Cheered For?

Remember Those Bushes We Were Cheered For? You know, when we cut down all the shrubbery in front of the house. Well, all that brush went to the curb for collection. Trash company came and went, and we still had brush at the curb. Turns out that our waste company does not collect brush unless it is tied in 4 ft bundles. Ha! There is no way we could make that happen. So, we called about having a bulk collection. A WEEK LATER they came by to give us an estimate on the collection. They wanted to charge us $115 to collect the brush! I don't think so!

After some consideration, we opted to put that money into renting a U-Haul truck and taking our brush to the semi-monthly brush drop site. So, we spent the next weekend pruning trees in the back yard. If we were going to the trouble to rent a u-haul, we were going to make it count! LOL!

Today, instead of working on my chicken coop and pasture, the husband and I (with a little help from our preteen) made FOUR trips to the brush drop site. Four trips with a full truck. A truck filled fuller than this (it was our last trip before I thought to take a picture)...
